About

Haruspicy.co.uk is a dedicated resource for those who seek meaning in the viscera.

Founded in 2008 by Madame Blavotnik, a respected figure within the haruspical community, Haruspicy.co.uk was created to promote deeper understanding of an ancient art that has long been misunderstood, dismissed, or misrepresented. Although her earlier contributions were always insightful and warmly received by the community, her recent output has declined—largely due to what we regard as a prolonged and regrettable campaign of legal interference by the more doctrinaire elements of the British regulatory establishment.

While we do not wish to comment on the specifics of any ongoing proceedings, we maintain that Madame Blavotnik’s work was conducted in accordance with both long-standing tradition, basic hygiene, and—so far as can be reasonably determined—the letter of the law. The precise legal status of some of her earlier methodologies remains, at the time of writing, the subject of ongoing dispute.

We, the contributors and current stewards of this website, take our work seriously. Haruspicy is not a novelty to us. It is a tradition. It is a science. It is a spiritual discipline. And it is our sincere hope that, through this website, we can help others understand the true power and potential of internal organ interpretation.

For centuries, haruspicy was at the heart of decision-making across the known world. From ancient Mesopotamia to the Roman Empire, no battle was waged, no treaty signed, no planting season begun without first consulting the entrails. The liver, particularly, was seen as the seat of divine intent—its lobes, markings, and anomalies offering a map to the will of the gods.

Today, many of those traditions have been lost. The modern world no longer listens to the meat. We believe this is a mistake.

Through articles, tutorials, readings, and educational materials, Haruspicy.co.uk aims to bring this sacred knowledge to a new generation of seekers. Whether you are here for personal insight, philosophical study, or practical training in the field of visceral divination, we welcome you with open arms and clean gloves.

We do not make outlandish claims. We do not promise instant results. We are simply practitioners—students of the old ways—doing our best to preserve what has been passed down. Many of us came to haruspicy from other disciplines: comparative theology, veterinary anatomy, antique sausage restoration. All found a common purpose here.

We ask only that you approach the subject with respect. Haruspicy is not for entertainment. It is a tool for understanding the subtle patterns of life, fate, and consequence. It is serious work. Sometimes messy work. But always meaningful.

To those who dismiss what we do: we understand. We were once like you. But we have seen the truth. In the kidney. In the lung. In the glistening curve of an unbroken gallbladder.

If you are ready to learn, we are ready to teach.

Welcome.
